Step 1
Obtain Approval
Contact your previous provider and request approval for your number. You must give your consent to the transfer.

Fill Out The Form
Download our number portability form , fill it out completely.
Step 3
Check Your Data
Make sure that the data you enter in the form matches the data provided by your previous mobile provider. Inconsistencies can delay the transfer process.
Step 4
Send Documents
Send the completed and signed form and a copy of your ID to customer.service@variatel.com
Step 5
We Will Inform You
As soon as we have received and checked your documents, we will initiate the transfer process. You will be informed of the progress by e-mail.

Your mobile number will remain active during the change. We will send your Variatel SIM card to your home. As soon as the transfer is complete, you can get started straight away
Important information
- Observe notice periods: Find out about the notice periods with your current provider and make sure that your tariff is canceled in good time.
- Timing: Number portability can take a few days. During this time, your old number will remain active.
How It Works
Change the SIM Card Owner in 3 Simple Steps
Step 1
Fill Out the User Change Form
- Download and fill out the required form with the new owner’s details.
- Important: Don’t forget to attach a copy of the new owner’s ID (front and back of the ID card or passport).
Step 2
Submit the Form via Email
- Once the form is completed, email it along with the required documents to: sim.owner@variatel.de
- Quick and Secure: Ensure the correct email address is used for a smooth process.
Step 3
Confirmation and Transfer
- After reviewing your submission, Variatel will confirm the transfer via email.
- Once confirmed, the SIM card ownership will be updated, and you’ll receive an email confirmation.

After receiving your SIM card, please visit our activation portal. Enter your card details there and complete the identification process if not already done.
Calls to international destinations are charged at a separate rate per minute. You can find a price list on our website.
